Creating alternatives to school (that are actually accessible)
February Call recording & links, deep thoughts about community, and links about abolition, division of labour, self-esteem (why it sucks) and girl influencers.
Hello hello!
This is my Friday/Weekend post.
I’ve been working hard on making A Life Unschooled accessible for everyone, while also adding some tangible value for paid members.
On my weekend post I usually talk about some more personal elements of living in partnership with my children or of life unschooled, and I share some resources, and some of the things I’ve been reading, listening to, thinking about and what has been radicalizing me of late. I sometimes share what our family has been upto or what my children are into.
If you’re on the fence about paid membership, this is what you get (ontop of the free essays and podcasts):
a Weekend post only for paid members full of links, resources and shares about living a life unschooled
a monthly Day in the Life post (usually instead of that week’s paid post)
threads to discuss various topics around youth autonomy, consent and living without school (and more!)
a monthly zoom call (and recording with links)
sometimes I record audio versions of my posts, read by me
I would say that a paid membership is great for those who want to support my free writing, which delves a little bit deeper into living outside of mainstream ideas of how to parent, learn and exist. And it’s also great for those who feel they need more support and community on a monthly basis, in the form of resources, conversation and live calls.
This post is usually for paid subscribers only, so if you’d like to read the full post you’ll need to become a paid subscriber. It’s only 5USD a month ;)
