Friday Goodness: are the adults okay?!

Friday Goodness: are the adults okay?!

Also there's no teaching without learning, talking to kids about consuming, and the intersection of ND & disability with radicalization (I have questions).

Hello lovely people!!

How are we all doing?

Here’s what you’ll get this Friday:

  • Thoughts & links on some things I’ve been reading (including the way we use the word “teaching” and what it actually means!)

  • I’ve been on quite a listening spree - and I’m linking it all for you ;)

  • Some thoughts on whether the adults of the world are okay (MOSTLY NOT.)

  • Shall we talk about consumerism and parenting? I have thoughts on the way consuming is linked to our feelings of worthiness. And I am also torn about how to model anti-consumerism while also honoring my children’s autonomy and learning process. I want to hear your thought!!

  • Lastly: I say a few words about how those of us who feel we are operating at maximum capacity on an average day, are perhaps struggling right now.

In other news, I have a podcast! You can listen here on Substack or on Apple Pods.

Aaaaand..

as always, please consider signing up for a paid subscription. I realize the irony of talking about consumerism and then asking you to, ahem, consume my newsletter.. buuuut if you read on I think you’ll see that we can spend money on stuff and it’s not always consumption :)

So, ditch a coffee a month (especially if it’s from Starbucks haha jk pls don’t come at me ;)) and support my writing on here instead!

THANK YOU.

Bangkok is pretty sometimes

Today I’m going to start with what I’m reading, listening to, etc and end with some thoughts - the opposite of what I usually do. Just to shake things up a bit!
