Wow what a great resource! Thank you. I will be sharing far and wide. Mine are now grown but I seriously thought about unschooling or homeschooling for many years although in the end we didn’t. We decided on normal school just to integrate them into the society (we don’t live where we are from and don’t speak the language natively). I figured they would do their real learning elsewhere and they seem to have figured that out too.
Some old favorites here- I saw John Taylor Gatto speak when that book was published. I also like David Guterson’s Family Matters- I’ve always loved his idea that homeschooling gives kids “time to fashion a self in silence”
